1. Country Girl

From the recording Country Girl

The Yardvarks formed as a side-project of John & Ken's in 2005 as a vehicle for a mixture of original material and unlikely covers (we often refer to our repertoire as "neo-obscuro") featuring rich vocal harmony and semi-acoustic instrumental interplay. Bass player Eric Ott and drummer Dan Lashkoff rounded out the band, with the later addition of guitarist Roy Flacco.
The Yardvarks had been in the regular rotation of bands playing at The Red Newt Bistro, Americana Vineyards, Maxie's Supper Club and Dorothy's Music Room in Trumansburg. They've also been the official music providers for Hospicare's annual "Women Swimmin'" fundraiser every August, where 250+ women swim across Cayuga Lake in honor of loved ones lost to cancer.
It is with sad and heavy hearts that we lost our founding member and musical brother Eric to cancer back in August of 2015. The band continues to fulfill contractual duties, and will eventually plot a new course. For now, we honor Eric's memory every time we venture forth. Long live the E-man!
