This song was written with a small group of 5th graders for their school-wide Science Fair (which was built around the theme of "Bridges"). Younger students made model bridges with popsicle sticks and glue, intermediate students actually went on a walking tour of Ithaca's foot bridges, and the 5th graders examined "bridges" on a conceptual human relations level. This song has become part of the Family Reading Partnership's Read-Along Songs for Understanding project and is slated to be turned into a picture book in 2013.
